Various Locations   Additional Information: - Required to attend teacher leader meetings and/or professional development outside of the instructional day.
- Conducts PLC zone meetings.
- Participates with team members and other district staff in data analysis activities. (CFAs, intervention strategies, etc..)
- Weekly communication with teachers on PLC team, instructional specialist, and/or other district personnel.
- Identifies needs related to the acquisition and use of instructional technologies.
- Building the skills of other teacher leaders.
- Collaborates with Assessment and Evaluation Specialist, site principal and/or Instructional Specialist to align teaching materials/resources, develop curriculum, pacing guides and common assessments. ?
- Collaborates with Instructional Specialist and assists in implementing trainings or professional development for teachers aligned with current AZ State Standards, instructional practices, or PLC process.
- Collaborates with English Language Acquisition Specialist to embed ESL and language development techniques into content area curriculum and professional development.
- Collaborates with members of the Teaching and Learning Division to design systems for identification, services and completion of all documentation related to gifted education.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of standards, content area curriculum, and of the PLC process.
- Working knowledge of data analysis principles and of technologies used in instruction.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers across the district and instructional specialists.
- Demonstrates organizational and leadership skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates professionally.

- Required – Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
- Required – Valid Arizona teacher certification
- Required – Content area endorsement(s) or evidence demonstrating completion of endorsement within one school year.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience

COMPENSATION: $2,000 Stipend
SUMMARY:
The District Content Leader is a highly effective teacher who leads a team of teachers (aligned by grade level, content area, or other relevant grouping based on district need). The Team Leader's role is to build the capacity of teachers to deliver high-quality, effective instruction that increases student outcomes by facilitating PLC’s.
