    TITLE: Response to Intervention Teacher (RTI) CLASSIFICATION: Certified

    REPORTS TO: School Administrator

    SUMMARY:
    The Response to Intervention Teacher (RTI) teacher is responsible for supporting student achievement with special attention to Tier II and III instruction. The Response to Intervention Teacher (RTI) teacher provides individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, communicating student progress and performance, and collaborating with general education staff.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Use evidence-based strategies to teach core subjects like reading, writing, and math.
    2. Work with teachers to identify students' learning limitations and needs.
    3. Use data to create and implement intervention plans.
    4. Share best practices and co-teach with other teachers.
    5. Provide support for students' social and emotional needs.

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor's degree in Education

    Licenses or Certifications:
    A valid Arizona teacher certification Reading Endorsement (preferred) Math Endorsement (preferred) ESL/Bilingual (preferred)

    Requirements:
    Fingerprint Clearance Card

    EXPERIENCE:
    Experience in academic intervention and support

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    The ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    The work environment is the normal office setting.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Nine-month year, Certified Teacher Salary Schedule, employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.

    EVALUATION:
    Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of certified staff.
