    TITLE: Lead School Psychologist Stipend

    CLASSIFICATION: Certified non-Teacher

    REPORTS TO: ESS Director

    SUMMARY:
    This position is responsible for providing leadership in the establishment, coordination, and support of school psychologists across the district. Areas of focus include psychological assessment, child development, learning theory, mental health, and special education procedures and services.

    COMPENSATION: $5000.00 Stipend

    WORK YEAR: Yearly

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Schedule, plan, and facilitate monthly team meetings for school psychologists and collaborate with related service providers (e.g., social workers, speech therapists, motor therapists).
    2. Serve as an active member of the special education leadership team.
    3. Provide input regarding evaluations of school psychology staff.
    4. Assist in determining appropriate caseloads and school site assignments.
    5. Provide input on the ordering and acquisition of assessment tools, materials, and supplies.
    6. Mentor and support newly hired school psychologists.
    7. Provide ongoing coaching and professional support to school psychology staff.
    8. Participate in the interview and selection process for new school psychologist candidates.
    9. Coordinate coverage for long- and short-term staff absences.
    10. Provide consultation, technical assistance, and subject-matter expertise to the Teaching and Learning Division.
    11. Support the development and implementation of professional development opportunities for individual and team improvement.
    12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

    • Minimum degree required for school psychologist credentialing

    LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Valid Arizona School Psychologist Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a school psychologist in a school-based setting

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of special education law, evaluation procedures, and eligibility criteria
    • Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and other school-wide initiatives
    • Understanding of Arizona Department of Education monitoring processes and guidance documents (e.g., AZ-TAS)
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, educators, support staff, and families
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
